Creamed Chipped Beef Cheese Ball

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, use a hand mixer or a sturdy wooden spoon to beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the finely chopped dried beef and green onions, and mix until well incorporated.

  2. Season: Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed. Taste the mixture and season with a pinch of salt only if needed (the dried beef is already quite salty).

  3. Form the Ball: Lay a large piece of plastic wrap on your counter. Scoop the cheese mixture into the center. Wrap the plastic around the cheese and use your hands to shape it into a tight, round ball.

  4. Chill: Place the wrapped cheese ball in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to firm up. This makes it much easier to roll in garnish and to serve. (It can be made up to 2 days in advance).

  5. Serve: Unwrap the chilled cheese ball. If desired, roll it in the reserved chopped green onions for a fresh garnish. Place it on a serving platter surrounded by Ritz crackers and enjoy!
