Scottish Shortbread

Ingredients
1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup (115g) granulated sugar
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
A pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
4. Press dough into a 9-inch (23 cm) round or square baking pan, smoothing the surface.
